The Council House is located as the central building in Victoria Square in
the heart of Birmingham. The building is closely linked with Joseph
Chamberlain and he laid the foundation stone as Mayor of the Town on 14
June 1874. The building was designed by Yeoville Thomason who had
previously designed buildings in Colmore Row.
The first edition of Positively Birmingham was launched at a Civic Reception in the Council House back in September 1994! |
