Iron Man is in Victoria Square situated
outside the old Head Post Office. By Antony Gormley this well-known
piece is perhaps more appreciated by visitors than locals who seem to
have antibodies to anything even mildly unconventional on Birmingham's
streets. Since Iron Man Antony Gormley has become very well known for
his Angel of the North and more recently his involvement with the public
art initiatives at the Millennium Dome.
